2017-02-05 Geert Hofstede added this Dimension after the original study, and it was applied to twenty-three of the fifty original countries in his study. The Buddhist/Shinto Countries of Taiwan and Japan have LTO as the most closely correlating Dimension. This article looks at the differences between Danish and Japanese national culture two using the cultural model created by Geert Hofstede. Below I offer a brief refresher into what each dimension actually refers to.

Geert Hofstede, assisted by others, came up with six basic issues that society needs to come to term with in order to organize itself. These are called dimensions of culture.
